Volume I covers the history of Baylor County, Texas 1878-1930 while Volume II add more information to the 1878-1930 period and then continues the history to its publication year. Volume I was printed in 1972 and Volume II in 1977. Volume I was in the holdings of the Abilene Christian University Brown Library until it was sold on and has the original donor's donation plate on the front pastedown and the library's stamp on all three page edges. Vol I has 3 local newspaper clippings laid in. Volume II has a previous owner name and date (1977) on the first free endpaper. Both volumes are clean and bright. The text is filled with photos. Vol II has very occassional pen marks in the text where the previous owner marked a relative or ancestor. These are 2 large and heavy oversize hardbacks. No international orders.
