Rolland Comstock was a noted book collector. This book won the 1992 Lamont Poetry Selection. The prize goes to the best book length collection of poems by an American poet who has already published one book of poetry. The prize is given by the American Academy of Poets who award the winning poet $1,000 and purchase 2,000 copies of her book to give to their members.
