Originally published in 1910 African Game Trails is Theodore Roosevelt's account of his famous African Safari sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution and financially underwritten by Andrew Carnegie. In addition to hunting all the big game, TR met just about every important professional hunter, landowner, and politician in the region. This is the Easton Press 1992 reprint bound in full brown leather with real gold decorations. NF due to a very faint shadow of a removed bookplate on the inside of the front cover and minor blemishes to the side page edges. Luxury features include gilded page edges, acid neutral paper that is sewn (not glued) into the binding, moire endpapers, raised bands on the spine, and a sewn-in leather bookmark.
