The Dangerous Summer was written in 1959-1960 and originally published by Life Magazine as a 30,000 word extract over three issues in 1930. It was published in its current 75,000 word book form after Hemingway's death and included a long introduction by James Michener with a comprehensive glossary of bullfighting terms. This Easton Press edition follows the book form and includes Michener's intro and glossary. The book is nonfiction and follows the rivalry between bullfighters Antonio Ordonez and Luis Miguel Dominguin during the 1959 season. This particular copy is unread. No previous owner marks.
