Biography of Gene Hall resident of the Texas Panhandle who wrote a folksy and entertaining newpaper column. He was also the owner and editor of the Amarillo Globe-News, the Atchison Globe, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, and dozens of other newspapers. In 1935 he started a radio station and in 1952 he started Amarillo's first television station. He committed suicide in 1953. Previous owner stamp on first free endpaper. Book covers bright. Spine very slightly slanted. Both ends of spine gently bumped. Bottom corners very gently rubbed. Page edges clean. No highlighting or underlining. Text and photographs clean.
