The expedition sought to find the best route for the future railroad from Kansas to the Pacific Ocean. Book covers clean and bright. Both ends of spine very gently rubbed. Corners sharp. No previous owner marks. Text and illustrations clean and bright. Fading to Dust Jacket spine. Both ends of DJ spine rubbed with small tears to head of spine. DJ corners rubbed with small tears to ends of seams. 1/2" tear to front DJ seam from bottom corner taped from inside. DJ now protected in mylar.
