The narrative discusses the era from the Mexican War to the 1880s and ranges from New York and St. Louis to Brownsville, Matamoros, the New Mexico and Texas ranges, and the cattle trails to Dakota. At the time of this Oklahoma reprint historians weren't sure if this book was fiction, memoir, history or even who the author really was. Previous bookseller sticker on front pastedown.
