Hardcover, Annapolis, Maryland: Naval Institute Press, 1987. Very Good- in Very Good dust jacket. Ex-library with address label of library and red 'DISCARD' stamp on first free endpaper, library numbers on copyright page and contents page, stamp on rear free endpaper, and library bookplate on rear pastedown. The Diana was a typical British frigate launched in 1794. She had a long and active career that spanned virtually all of the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, she was sold to the Dutch in 1815 and perished in an accidental fire in 1839. Book spine very slightly slanted. Both ends of spine very gently bumped. Top corners bumped. Bottom corners gently rubbed. Spine and cover edges have minor fading. Front cover has glued paper remnants on side edge wrapping around to front pastedown. Glue remnants on rear pastedown. Page edges have minimal soiling. Front hinge repaired by previous owner. Text, photographs, charts and diagrams all clean and bright. Dust Jacket has multiple light scratches on front and back covers. Both ends of DJ spine very gently bumped. Library stickers near tail of DJ spine and back cover near top edge. Back cover has heavy rub mark near bottom corner. Top corners of DJ rubbed. Top and bottom edges of DJ have minimal shelf wear. DJ front flap has small tear on top edge. DJ now protected in mylar. Ships same or next business day well protected in a box. Please note this is an oversize and heavy book.
