Arthur Rackham did the illustrations for the endpapers and the chapter headings. There are also 12 illustrated plates - some photographs, others are drawings from photographs. Part of the Haddon Hall Library edited by the Marquess of Granby and George A. B. Dewar. John Otho Paget (1860-1934) was a British huntsman and author. This particular title is about the classic English sport of hunting foxes using hounds and horses. Vellum binding bright and beautiful, with very little age darkening and no cracks. Hinges are sound with no cracks. All plates retain their tissue guards. Age spotting to nearly all plates, but in the margins only. Text pages are clean with no spotting at all. This is a beautifully preserved book, probably because it comes in a custom clamshell box provided by the previous owner. Clamshell box has a red spine label with gold titles.
