Frontispiece portrait of the author at work, 1 fold-out illustration, 62 illustrations some full page some in the text, index, 10 pages of publisher's ads. Bound in dark blue cloth with gold spine titles. Ex-library with age darkened spine label and stamp from The New Club of Calcutta on the full title page and a date stamp on the first free endpaper. Bumped at both ends of spine, corners bumped and rubbed with loss of cloth most noticeable at top corners. Not a particularly pretty copy - Good+ only. Text and illustrations clean.

This book would be a great guide for anyone interested in doing their own taxidermy and preservation of their own hunting trophies. If that doesn't appeal to you, there is also information on how to artistically pose and set-up your finished trophies. There is also a section titled Sporting Fields which covers the most popular game animals and countries of the time including Africa. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 202 pages.
