The true adventures and strange experiences of the explorer, naturalist, and writer Roy Chapman Andrews (1884-1960) who spent most of his career in the Far East. These are mostly stories of China and Mongolia. Andrews brought the first dinosaur eggs back to the American Museum of Natural History and became its director. It's possible that Andrews was the inspiration for the character of Indiana Jones. Newspaper clipping from 1936 laid into the book, the article is about Andrews's young second wife, she was 23 years younger than her husband. Bookplate of previous owner on front pastedown. Previous owner wrote the number 90 on the top right corner of the first free endpaper. Top of spine gently bumped, bottom corners rubbed. Dust jacket is not price clipped. Dust jacket has chips and small tears with small missing pieces at the top of the spine panel.
