Vol 1 has rubbing to edges of covers with lightening of cloth, binding cracked at front gutter (binding sound) , fold-out map has small tear in margin. Vol 2 has rubbing to top and bottom edges of covers, rubbing to back cover, small black stain to back cover and spine. Lt. Col. FitzWilliam Thomas Pollok served in the British Army in India and Burma for 13 years. He published 4 books about sport in British India and Burma, all of them highly collectible, this title is the first and scarcest of his books. In this two volume set Pollok describes hunts after elephant, rhino, buffalo, bear, tiger, leopard, deer, and wild boar. He also discusses geography, the natural beauty of his surroundings, and the peoples and cultures of British Burma.
