Hardback, Amarillo, Texas: 1947. First Edition. Near Fine. This is a book of poetry that was privately printed by the author's family on his birthday, about a year after he died. Stanely Marsh (1882-1946) was originally from Ohio and moved to Oklahoma and then Wichita Falls, TX. In 1926, Marsh moved to Amarillo, TX where he set up an independent oil company with two partners at the start of the Panhandle oil boom. Marsh's responsibilty was sales and his skills as a landman became famous throughout the oil industry. The partnership did very well and the Marsh family became one of the wealthiest and most prominent families in the Texas Panhandle. Marsh wrote poems during his sales travels around the Panhandle. A year after his death, his wife collected his poems and had them published in this book for members of the family. Book protected in clear plastic jacket.
