SIGNED and INSCRIBED by author's daughter in black ink on the last page of the book. Inscription reads, "To Lorna Novak - who remembers - especially the importance of Mary Autry - Mary Autry Greet." Marie was the author's wife. Author died in 1960, this book was published by his two children in 1977. Illustrated by Harold D. Bugbee, Ben Carton Mead, and Sahula-Dycke. George Autry was a Texas Panhandle cowboy, printer, writer, and artist who was friends with J. Evetts Haley and many Texas artists. He was also a lifelong member and VP of the Panhandle-Plains Historical Society. This book is a collection of his stories, poems, letters, and other musings.
