This book is a collection of real songs sung by real working cowboys in the American West. The songs tend toward the bawdy, the humor ranging from gross to clever. Includes 61 songs with music and lyrics. One of the songs is a Texas Ranger protest song, probably dating from the Republic of Texas, in which the Rangers protest their very low wages and skimpy rations. Text, photographs, lyrics and music clean and bright. Spine very slightly tilted. Light soiling to top page edges. Dust jacket has light soiling to spine panel.
