Lord Moran (Sir Charles Wilson) was the President of the Royal College of Physicians in 1940 when Churchill's Cabinet called him to become Churchill's personal physician. His task was to keep the irreplaceable Prime Minister alive. Moran kept a detailed diary and served Churchill for 25 years. He became one of Churchill' s closest and most trusted friends. Moran went everywhere with Churchill including Scapa Flow, Washington, Casablanca, Moscow, Teheran, Quebec, Yalta and Potsdam. Bumped and rubbed on tail of spine. Rubbing and wear to both bottom corners. Minor wear to head of spine and both top corners. No previous owner marks. Text and photos clean. Dust jacket has shelf wear to both ends of spine panel.
