Inscribed to Rolland Comstock who was a noted book collector and attorney. Comstock was featured in a book by Basbanes and was featured on CNBC and interviewed by the Washington Post. His collection included more than 100,000 First Editions. Simpson's inscription reads "To Rolland Comstock with best wishes for your life. Mona Simpson. February 25, 1995." The book comes with a letter from the owner of Endicott Booksellers where the book was signed indicating that Simpson wrote down the wrong date. The book was actually signed on 2/25/92, the same year it was first published. Author is the winner of a Guggenheim grant, Whiting Writer's Award, and the Hodder Fellowship at Princeton.
