Diplomatic Correspondence of the Republic of Texas (Three Volumes Complete). George P. Garrison.

Diplomatic Correspondence of the Republic of Texas (Three Volumes Complete)

Hardcover, Washington: Government Printing Office, 1908. First Edition. Very Good-. All 3 volumes of the Diplomatic Correspondence of the Republic of Texas edited by George Garrison. It appears in 3 volumes of the Annual Report of the American Historical Association (Vol II 1907, Vol II-1, 1908 and Vol II-II, 1908). My volumes show printing dates of 1908, 1911, and 1911 all in Washington by the Government Printing Office. That exactly matches what Jenkins describes in his Basic Texas Books #73. According to Jenkins, "This is the basic source work for official diplomatic papers of the Republic of Texas. It is indispensible for any study of this period of Texas history." Text is clean in all 3 volumes. No previous owner marks or names or bookplates in any of the volumes. Vol 1 has a little bit of age spotting at the very end of the book, last few pages, endpapers, pastedown. Vol1 front gutter cracked at front endpaper. Vol II rear gutter cracked at rear endpaper. Vol III no cracks. All volumes have a bit of rubbing to edges. Ships same or next business day well protected in a box. This is a large and very heavy 3 volume set - US Media Mail Only. Priority and International orders will be filled only if buyer pays the entire true cost of postage - it will be extremely expensive. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall. [Item #78959]
