We Buy Books

We purchase some types of books for cash. We buy individual books and entire libraries. We make cash purchases throughout the year. If you have what we’re looking for, we’re ready to buy it. The types of books we pay cash for are limited to collectible, out of print, and rare books. The one exception is History. The books we pay cash for include:

• Literary First Editions in Dust Jacket in Very Good or better condition.
• Mystery First Editions in Dust Jacket in Very Good or better condition.
• Science Fiction First Editions in Dust Jacket in Very Good or better condition.
• Literary and Mystery First Editions without dust jackets if the book was printed before 1930 and is in Very Good or better condition.
• Texana of all editions and printings in Very Good condition or better.
• History of all editions, printings, and specialties in Very Good condition or better.
• Biblical scholarship, Buddhism, and Judaica in Dust Jacket in Very Good condition or better.
• Art books in Dust Jacket in Very Good condition or better.
• Leatherbound books in Very Good condition or better. Examples include Easton Press and Franklin Library titles.

We regret that we cannot pay cash for common books, magazines, and encyclopedias. We will very occasionally buy special magazines for cash, but if you have those collectible magazines, you already knew we want them and you probably aren’t bothering to read this.

The common paperback section of our store does still trade used paperbacks, but we do not buy those books for cash, just store credit.
